2. Manage Pain: Use over-the-counter pain relievers such as ibuprofen to help manage pain and reduce swelling. Avoid aspirin as it can cause excessive bleeding.

3. Protect the Tooth: If you have a piece of a broken tooth, rinse it gently with water and try to keep it moist. You can place it in a glass of milk or use a tooth preservation product that contains the ADA Seal of Acceptance.

4. Apply a Cold Compress: To reduce swelling and relieve pain, apply a cold compress to the outside of your cheek near the affected area.
